Recently Released Features

Have a look at our newly released features to improve your experience with Hyperstack:

High-Speed Networking up to 350 Gbps

We have released our on-demand high-speed networking with SR-IOV. This feature includes:

  • Network-Optimised Environments: Available in the CANADA-1 region, VMs with compatible GPUs can achieve inter-VM bandwidth of up to 350 Gbps.
  • Easy Identification: Network-optimised environments and VMs are now marked with a ⚡ icon for easy identification.
  • User Notifications: We’ve added banners to the Environments and VM Deployment pages to inform users about high-speed networking availability.

Billing Accuracy

We’ve made significant updates to enhance billing accuracy. With the implementation of advanced pricing algorithms, we now provide precise resource usage tracking so you are billed correctly for the services you use.

Pre-Baked Images

We’ve also introduced new pre-baked images to minimise the barriers between your workloads and deployment. All new images come with updated drivers, CUDA and Kernel enhancements to tackle security issues and improve performance. We’ve also added new cloud-init support to offer you the flexibility to decide where to mount your high-speed NVME ephemeral storage. Here’s a full list of the latest images available:

Updated Images:

  1. Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS R535 CUDA 12.2 – Optimised for performance with stable GPU drivers and CUDA support, ideal for AI and data-intensive workloads.

  2. Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) – Standard long-term support (LTS) release, providing stability and security for general-purpose workloads.

  3. Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS R535 CUDA 12.2 – The latest stable release with R535 drivers and CUDA 12.2, suitable for high-performance tasks.

  4. Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) – A newer LTS version focused on security and performance updates.

Newly Added Images:

  1. Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS R535 CUDA 12.2 with Docker – Pre-installed with Docker to easily start GPU-accelerated workloads without extra configuration.

  2. Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS R535 CUDA 12.2 with Docker – Same stable environment as the R535 image, with Docker pre-configured for fast deployment of applications.

  3. Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS R550 CUDA 12.4 with Docker – Featuring the latest GPU drivers (R550) and CUDA 12.4, delivering even higher performance for demanding AI and GPU applications, with Docker ready to go.

  4. Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS R550 CUDA 12.4 – Updated with the newest Nvidia drivers and CUDA version for maximum efficiency in GPU-accelerated tasks.

  5. Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS R550 CUDA 12.4 with Docker – Combines the stable environment of Ubuntu 20.04 with the newest CUDA and Docker pre-installed for ease of use.

  6. Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS R550 CUDA 12.4 – For users needing the newest drivers and CUDA support on the stable Ubuntu 20.04 LTS version.

Major Pricing Update

This month, we’ve rolled out one of our most significant updates offering enhanced performance at even more competitive prices. Our goal is to help you prioritise innovation over budget concerns. You can now get the NVIDIA H100 NVLink for just $1.95/hour or the NVIDIA A100 NVLink for $1.40/hour.

What’s Next: Upcoming Features You’ll Love

As we work to improve your Hyperstack experience, we’re proud to announce that exciting things are coming. Check out what’s coming soon:

Kubernetes Full Release

We’re excited to announce that the Kubernetes platform release is expected to go live by the end of this month. Currently, it’s accessible through our API, allowing users to interact with Kubernetes more seamlessly. We’ve released a tutorial to help you get started on running LLMs from the API.

Snapshots

Coming at the end of this month, the Snapshots feature will enhance recovery from hardware failures or data corruption - ideal for development and testing scenarios. You will be able to create snapshots directly from the VM list, streamlining backup processes and improving data management.

More Ubuntu Images

Stay tuned for our next wave of Ubuntu images, which are currently in staging and expected to launch later this month. These images come pre-configured with Docker and CUDA 12.4. The images with Docker make it convenient for users to start their workloads without having to install and configure Docker for GPU use.

SDKs

Finally, we are preparing to roll out some SDKs, designed to simplify development and integration processes for users looking to leverage our services in their applications.

Events Recap

This month, we hosted two of our most-awaited events that provided valuable insights to the Hyperstack community:

London Office Meetup

Our AI, ML & Data Meetup took place on September 19th at our London office and what a blast it was! We had a fantastic time with fellow AI lovers, exchanging insights and learning about the future of machine learning.

If you missed out, don’t worry- we’ve got more exciting events just around the corner.

Virtual Event

We held our second event virtually on September 26th and it was a huge hit. This online meetup featured Mischa van Kesteren from NexGen Cloud and Dan Gural from Voxel51, who explored scaling industrial AI and the future of GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS).

We will soon be organising more virtual events like this, so keep an eye out!

Upcoming Event: LLM London

Our next event is happening this month in collaboration with LLM London! It’s going to be a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn and explore the latest in AI and machine learning. The event will feature Mischa van Kesteren from NexGen Cloud and Chris Parsons, Co-founder & CTO at Cherrypick. Don’t miss out and be part of the excitement before it’s too late!
